Living in her childhood home on the Niantic River in Connecticut, Eunice has been involved in sewing and creative needle arts all her life. Taught by her mother, an excellent seamstress, who sewed clothes for her large family in addition to making quilts on her Singer sewing machine, Eunice began sewing at about the age of 9, making napkins and clothes for her dolls. She continued her artistic interests with knitting and other needlecrafts as well as continuing to sew her own clothes through young adulthood. When her children were small, she sewed all their clothes and was always interested in learning the latest in sewing and craft ideas. In 2003, Eunice bought the sewing machine of her dreams, which includes the ability to do machine embroidery at home. She quickly immersed herself in learning all the machine can do and has been creating quilts, among many other items. A member of the local Clamshell Quilt Guild (of eastern Connecticut), she served on the executive committee for two years. Her daughter, Karen, has also become immersed in creating quilts. Together, in 2004, they started their quilting business called Quilts and More.

Eunice started yoga with Taialofa in 2001 and loves the special attention and creative energies of Taialofa’s teaching style. Bringing the pieces of life’s journey together in a quilt, Eunice and Taialofa are fusing the yoga and the quilt to bring you these wonderful Yoga-inspired Quilts! These unique quilts are designed and created by Eunice. She will also produce Yoga gear with Raw Shakti logos for all sizes!
